This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk overnight.
Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

DISCUSSION...
A strong storm system will bring rain to the area to day. A few
thunderstorms are possible southeast of Interstate 55 very late tonight.

Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk in the morning.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk, mainly near Lake Michigan.
Limited Snow Risk across northwest and north central Illinois.
Elevated to Significant Lakeshore Flood Risk, highest threat along the
northern Illinois shore.
Limited fog risk in the morning.

DISCUSSION:
Rain may mix with or change to snow across far northwest and far
northern Illinois early Saturday. The rain snow line would then
likely shift gradually southeast through Saturday evening as
colder air is drawn into the departing storm. Though some
uncertainty remains in the exact track of this system it appears
that portions of northwest and far northern Illinois would have
some potential for at least some snow accumulation. A slightly
farther south storm track could result in colder air being available
when the heavier precipitation is falling to result in more wet snow these
areas.

Strong northerly winds will also result in the potential for
lakeshore flooding along the Lake Michigan shore Friday night
through Saturday, with gusts to 40 mph possible along the lake
across parts of northern Illinois. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts for additional detail as the storm approaches.

A few thunderstorms are also possible along and southeast of Interstate
55 in the morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
