Limited Snow Risk Today. Elevated Excessive Cold Risk Tonight.
DISCUSSION…
Light snow is likely today south of I-80, with light accumulation probable south of U.S. Highway 24. Light lake effect accumulation is also possible in far northwest Indiana today and this evening.
Unseasonably cold air will flood into the region tonight, with wind chills falling to around -20 across northern Illinois late this evening into overnight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.
Monday…
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Tuesday and Wednesday…
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Thursday Night…
Limited Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION:
The unseasonably cold air for March will continue through the first half of the week. Wind chills near -20 are likely across northern Illinois early Monday morning.
