This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk this evening.

DISCUSSION:

Isolated thunderstorms are possible this evening.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, and Fox Rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Thursday through Tuesday.

Friday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk I-80 and south.  Limited Snow Risk late Friday night north of I-88.

Saturday…

Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A frontal boundary will stall over the region to close out the week, with moderate to occasionally heavy rain likely Friday afternoon into Friday night. Significant rainfall totals are possible, which could cause renewed river and stream rises and lowland flooding. Some wet snow is possible across portions of far northern Illinois late Friday night.

Strong northerly winds on Saturday will cause large waves, increased lake levels, and a risk for lakeshore flooding.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, and Fox Rivers.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
