Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible this evening.
Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, and Fox Rivers.

Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk
DISCUSSION:
A frontal boundary will stall over the region, with moderate to occasionally heavy rain likely Friday afternoon into Friday night. Significant rainfall totals are possible, which could cause renewed river and stream rises and lowland flooding. Some wet snow is possible across portions of far northern Illinois late Friday night.
Strong northerly winds on Saturday will cause large waves, increased lake levels, and a risk for lakeshore flooding.
Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, and Fox Rivers.
