This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Accumulating snow is likely tonight, primarily near the I-80 corridor, where a swath of amounts of about 2 to 4 inches is expected. Brief snowfall rates up to 1 inch or more per hour are possible overnight in the heavier snow bands. Light accumulations remain possible as far north as the I-88 corridor.

Otherwise, flooding, some significant, will continue along portions of the Rock, Kishwaukee, Fox, Illinois and Des Plaines Rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.

Sunday…

Limited Snow Risk in the morning.

DISCUSSION:

Accumulating snow over portions of northern Illinois into northwest Indiana will taper off Sunday morning.

Flooding, some significant, will continue along portions of the Rock, Kishwaukee, Fox, Illinois and Des Plaines Rivers.
