This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Strong northerly winds will result in large waves and cause minor lakeshore flooding through at least mid day.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, and Fox rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Wednesday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk at night.

Thursday and Friday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Saturday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk near Lake Michigan.  Limited Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A frontal boundary will stall over the region late in the week, resulting in a couple bouts of moderate to heavy rainfall. There is a chance for isolated thunderstorms as well. Significant rainfall totals possible, which could cause renewed river and stream rises and lowland flooding.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, and Fox rivers.
