This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, and Fox Rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday.

Friday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Elevated Snow Risk Friday Night.

Saturday…

Limited Snow Risk Saturday Morning.  Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A frontal boundary will stall over the region late in the week, resulting in a couple bouts of moderate to heavy rainfall. Isolated thunderstorms are possible as well. Significant rainfall totals are possible, which could cause renewed river and stream rises and lowland flooding. Some accumulating snow is possible across far northern Illinois early Saturday morning.

Strong northerly winds on Saturday will cause large waves, increased lake levels, and a risk for lakeshore flooding.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, and Fox Rivers.
