This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Thursday…

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.  Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION:

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms Wednesday morning, and a greater chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night and Thursday. Locally heavy rainfall is possible Wednesday night. There is a low chance that some of the thunderstorms Thursday may be severe, with damaging wind gusts the main severe threat.

Very strong winds are expected to develop Thursday afternoon and evening, with gusts over 45 mph possible.

The combination of snow melt and rain this week may cause flooding on area rivers late in the week, particularly along the Rock and Fox rivers in northern Illinois.
