This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk well south of I-80.  Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk near the lake tonight.  Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk tonight.

DISCUSSION…

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms well south of I-80 late in the afternoon into the evening. Strong northerly winds will gust to as high as 35 mph along the lakeshore this evening through the overnight. These winds will result in large waves and likely cause minor lakeshore flooding.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, and Fox rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.

Monday…

Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk in the morning.

DISCUSSION:

Minor lakeshore flooding is likely Monday morning.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, and Fox rivers.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
