KALB...WINNEBAGO...NORTHERN KANE...SOUTHWESTERN MCHENRY AND BOONE
COUNTIES THROUGH 1100 PM CDT...

At 1012 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Woodstock to near Belvidere to near Winnebago.
Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea to nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rockford, Elgin, Hoffman Estates, Bartlett, Crystal Lake,
Carpentersville, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Belvidere, Woodstock,
Huntley, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Sycamore, Roscoe, Harvard, South
Beloit, Rockton, Marengo, Poplar Grove, Genoa, Byron, Rockford
Airport, South Elgin, and Cary.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
