Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 of 5 Tornado Risk.
Level 2 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 70 mph.
Level 2 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
Level 1 of 4 Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon mainly
southwest of a Belvidere to Joliet to Watseka line. All severe
weather threats are possible. Heavy rain and localized flooding
will also be possible.
Additional thunderstorms are expected overnight into early
Wednesday morning. Damaging winds, large hail and very heavy
rain that may caused flash flooding are all possible late
tonight.

DISCUSSION...
Periodic chances for thunderstorms will continue through Friday
afternoon. There appears to be the potential for another round
of thunderstorms capable of heavy rain and localized flooding
late Wednesday night into Thursday morning and then a possible
period of strong to severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon.
Heat indices may locally exceed 100 degrees Wednesday and
Thursday afternoons, mainly south of Interstate 80.

Spotters may be needed this afternoon.
