...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...
The Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of north central and
northeast Illinois, including the following areas, in north central
Illinois, Boone, De Kalb, Lee, Ogle and Winnebago. In northeast
Illinois, Central Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake IL, McHenry, Northern
Cook and Southern Cook.
The threat for additional flooding in the immediate near term has
ended. However, rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms are
expected to develop later this afternoon and evening which will
bring a threat for torrential rainfall and renewed flooding to the
region. A new Flood Watch will likely be needed.
