DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms over portions of central Illinois this
afternoon will pose a threat for localized strong wind gusts,
small hail, and heavy downpours. Thunderstorms may affect more of
the area overnight, with a threat for isolated to scattered
damaging wind gusts, isolated hail, and localized flash flooding.

Limited to Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 to 2 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...
Periodic chances for thunderstorms will continue through Friday
afternoon. There appears to be the potential for another round
of thunderstorms capable of heavy rain and localized flash
flooding late Wednesday night into Thursday morning and then a
possible period of strong to severe thunderstorms Thursday
afternoon and early evening.
Heat indices may locally exceed 100 degrees Wednesday and
Thursday afternoons, mainly south of Interstate 80.
