...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois,
including the following counties, in north central Illinois, Boone
and De Kalb. In northeast Illinois, McHenry.
* WHEN...Until 945 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams are out of their banks, and low-lying
areas are flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 729 AM CDT, Between 2 and 5 inches of rain fell overnight
and early this morning. This will lead to continued flooding
of roads, low spots, and other typically flood-prone areas.
- Flooding impacts will continue. Additional heavy rainfall is
possible this afternoon and evening.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Belvidere, Huntley, Loves Park, Marengo, Poplar Grove, Genoa,
Hampshire, Candlewick Lake, Cherry Valley, Kirkland,
Kingston, Timberlane, Union, Garden Prairie and Fairdale.
