This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.
Level 1 of 5 Large Hail Risk.
Level 1 of 5 Tornado Risk.
Level 1 of 4 Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

The best chance for any isolated strong to severe thunderstorms
through early this evening will be for locations south of I-80 and
east of I-55.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday through Thursday...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 to 2 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Level 1 to 2 of 4 Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

Friday...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

An active weather pattern will continue through the end of the
week with periodic additional chances for thunderstorms. Some
storms may be severe, posing primarily a damaging wind threat. In
addition, thunderstorms could produce torrential rainfall which
may lead to instances of flash flooding.

Heat indices may locally exceed 100 degrees at times Tuesday
through Thursday, mainly south of I-80.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter reports may be needed through early this evening.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the southeast at 30 mph.
