This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop after
dark tonight. The highest thunderstorm coverage will be along and
north of Pontiac to Valparaiso after midnight. Lightning and
heavy downpours are the main risks. Small hail is possible in the
strongest thunderstorms, especially west of I-39.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Saturday and Sunday...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday afternoon
and evening. The main risks are damaging winds, large hail, and
localized flooding. A few tornadoes are also possible in the
region.

There is a chance for another round or two of thunderstorms over
the weekend.

Spotters may be needed Thursday afternoon and evening.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east at 30 to 40 mph.
