This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Fog Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Fog will continue along the lake shore into this afternoon and may
develop again tonight, including in inland areas. There will be
some risk for dense fog.
Portions of the Des Plaines, Fox, Illinois, and Kankakee Rivers
will remain above flood stage.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Saturday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Fog Risk.
Sunday through Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Thunderstorms are likely Saturday afternoon and evening, some of
which could be strong to severe. There is plenty of uncertainty,
but if the atmosphere becomes unstable enough, severe hazards may
include hail, damaging winds, and even a tornado risk. In addition
to the strong to severe thunderstorm risk, thunderstorms will be
capable of producing very heavy downpours, which may cause at
least isolated flash flooding and renewed river and stream rises.
A warm and humid summer-like pattern will yield a daily chance for
thunderstorms Sunday through Thursday. Particularly in the Tuesday
through Thursday timeframe, the thunderstorm threat may also
include a risk for heavy downpours and flooding.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
