...PERIOD OF ACCUMULATING SNOW POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING...
A period of moderate snow is expected to develop over northern
Illinois this afternoon and continue into this evening...as it
shifts into northwest Indiana. Snow accumulations around one inch
are possible with isolated higher amounts up to 2 inches. While
most of this accumulation will occur on grassy surfaces, slippery
conditions are possible on roadways...especially elevated
surfaces. Visibilities under one mile under are possible at times.
Some light rain may mix with the snow at times.
