THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Limited Thunderstorm Risk this evening.
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk early this evening.
Significant Lakeshore Flooding Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Strong northeasterly winds, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph are
expected over far northern Illinois this afternoon. The strongest
winds will be primarily along and north of I-88.

Large waves and elevated lake levels will result in lakeshore
flooding along the Illinois Lake Michigan shore.

There is also a chance of thunderstorms early this evening, mainly
south of I-80.

There is a slight chance of light freezing rain near the Wisconsin
state line tonight, with a risk of some minor ice accumulations on
elevated surfaces.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Sunday...
Elevated Snow Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Precipitation is expected to continue Sunday into early Monday.
Rain will change over to light snow across north central Illinois
during the day Sunday, and across the remainder of the area Sunday
night into early Monday morning. Minor accumulations of less than
an inch are possible on grassy or elevated surfaces.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
