THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Limited Thunderstorm Risk tonight south of I-80...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk south of Kankakee River...up to quarter size.
Elevated Fog Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Areas of fog are possible tonight along and south of US Route 24.
Thunderstorms are possible late tonight south of I-80, which could
include a risk for an isolated strong to severe storm capable of
producing hail, possibly up to quarter size.
A portion of the Kankakee River near Shelby Indiana will remain
in flood.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Tuesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk southeast of I-55.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk at night for Indiana lakeshore.
Elevated Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION:
A strong low pressure area will impact the region through
Tuesday night. Thunderstorms and heavy downpours are possible for
portions of the area through Tuesday afternoon. There is a risk
for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing
large hail and possibly wind, mainly southeast of I-55 or I-57.
The precipitation will likely change back to snow before ending
Tuesday night, with a minor accumulation up to an inch or so
possible mainly in far northern Illinois.
A portion of the Kankakee River near Shelby Indiana will remain
in flood.

Spotters are unlikely to be needed.
