THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Significant Lakeshore Flooding Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Strong northeasterly winds, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph are
expected over far northern Illinois today. The strongest winds
will be primarily along and north of I-88.

Large waves and elevated lake levels will resulting in lakeshore
flooding along the Illinois shore.

There is also a chance for thunderstorms this afternoon, mainly
south of I-80.

There is a chance of light freezing rain near the Wisconsin state
line tonight with a risk of some minor ice accumulations on
elevated surfaces.

Spotter activation is not anticipated.
