THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Limited Snow Risk south of US Route 24.

DISCUSSION:

A period of snow is expected late this afternoon into this
evening for areas of central Illinois and northwest Indiana mainly
south of US Route 24. A slushy accumulation up to one inch is
possible, especially on grassy and colder surfaces.

A portion of the Kankakee River near Shelby Indiana will remain
in flood.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk at night.
Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Snow Risk at night mainly north of Interstate 88.

DISCUSSION:

A strong low pressure area will impact the region Monday night
through Tuesday. Thunderstorms are possible Monday night through
Tuesday afternoon, some of which could be strong and capable of
producing heavy downpours in portions of the region, especially
on Tuesday. The precipitation could change back to snow before
ending Tuesday night, with a minor accumulation possible mainly in
far northern Illinois.

A portion of the Kankakee River near Shelby Indiana will remain
in flood.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
