WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
Limited Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 mph.
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk
Limited Snow Risk tonight.

DISCUSSION:

Scattered thunderstorms are possible late this morning through
the afternoon. There is a small chance that a couple of the storms
could become severe, mainly over northwest Indiana south of the
Kankakee River. If any storms become severe, the primary threat
would be locally damaging winds, though some small risk of large
hail does exist.

accumulation is possible, mainly on grassy surfaces and north of
I-88 and 290.

Finally, strong northwest winds will develop tonight with gusts of
30 to 40 mph likely. Near the lake in northwest Indiana, winds
could gust over 40 mph late tonight.

A portion of the Kankakee River near Shelby Indiana will remain
in flood.

Wednesday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk in the morning for the
northwest Indiana shore.

Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A fast moving disturbance could bring a period of snow on
Thursday. As the winter-like pattern continues through the
weekend, another system could bring a threat for wintry
precipitation including snow late Sunday into Monday.

A portions of the Kankakee River near Shelby Indiana will
remain in flood.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed this afternoon over northwest Indiana.
