THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
Elevated Snow and Sleet Risk.

DISCUSSION:

There is a low chance of freezing rain north of Interstate 80
this morning well west of the Chicago metro area.

A wintry mix of rain and sleet is expected through midday,
transitioning to a period of snow this afternoon and evening.
Highest accumulations will be north of Interstate 80.

Thunderstorm chances are expected across much of the outlook area
mid morning through early afternoon. Severe weather is not
expected at this time.

Flooding is expected along portions of the Kankakee River.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Portions of the Kankakee River will remain in flood.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving northeast at around 45 MPH.
