THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to 1 inch in diameter.
Elevated Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 MPH.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to expand in coverage
across parts of Iowa and southern Wisconsin through late this
evening, and eventually spread into northern Illinois and
northwest Indiana later tonight. While the lower levels of the
atmosphere has begun to slowly stabilize with sunset, an
approaching mid-level disturbance will result in thunderstorm
development. Strengthening winds aloft will allow for some
strong to severe storms especially late this evening into the
early overnight hours across parts of northwest and far northern
Illinois, with isolated damaging wind gusts to around 60 mph
possible. Storms should diminish in intensity overnight, though
they will continue to produce heavy downpours and cloud to
ground lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Significant Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Monday through Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening.
The primary threats will be large hail and damaging winds, with
locally heavy rainfall also possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed Saturday, the most likely timing in the
later afternoon and evening.
