Northern Kane County in northeastern Illinois...
McHenry County in northeastern Illinois...
Northern Cook County in northeastern Illinois...
Boone County in north central Illinois...
* Until 730 PM CDT
* At 435 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated continued heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Elgin, Waukegan, Arlington Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg,
Palatine, Skokie, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Hoffman Estates,
Glenview, Buffalo Grove, Carpentersville, Wheeling, Park Ridge,
Northbrook, St. Charles, North Chicago and Gurnee.
* Minor flooding has been reported in Crystal Lake and near
Belvidere in Boone County. Stay tuned for possible warning
issuance in portions of the existing advisory area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
