THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Significant Hail Risk...up to half dollar size.
Significant Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 70 MPH.
Limited Tornado Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Showers and a few non-severe thunderstorms are likely through mid
morning. Additional thunderstorms will likely develop either late
this afternoon or early this evening, especially along and south
of I-80. Some of the thunderstorms this afternoon and evening
could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds the primary
threats. In addition, the thunderstorms will be capable of
producing torrential downpours, which could result in some
localized flash flooding. While there is some threat of heavy
rain and severe weather north of I-80, the greater chances of
severe weather and possible flash flooding look likely be
primarily south of I-80.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Spotters will likely be needed late this afternoon and evening,
especially south of I-80.
