THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Significant Hail Risk...up to half dollar size.
Significant Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 70 MPH.
Limited Tornado Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Additional thunderstorms will likely develop either late this
afternoon, and more so this evening. While the more likely area
for better coverage of storms is south of I-80, thunderstorms are
expected for many areas, and more scattered severe storms are
possible farther north. Large hail and damaging winds are the
primary threats. In addition, the thunderstorms will be capable of
producing torrential downpours, which could result in some
localized flash flooding. While there is some threat of heavy rain
and severe weather north of I-80, the greater chances of severe
weather and possible flash flooding look likely be primarily south
of I-80.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Sunday through Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters will likely be needed late this afternoon and evening,
especially south of I-80.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

East at 25 to 30 mph.
