This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:     Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.     Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.  Elevated Flooding Risk.  Limited Excessive heat Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Thunderstorms are expected this afternoon with the best coverage this evening along and north of Interstate 88. Some storms may be strong to severe. Hail may be a threat initially, but damaging winds will be possible especially later in the evening. Torrential downpours and training storms may create localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.

Monday…

Elevated Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

Tuesday and Wednesday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Unsettled weather continues through mid week. Thunderstorms may lead to flooding across portions of northwest Illinois Monday.

Spotters may be needed this evening.
