This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

High Swim Risk

DISCUSSION…

Dangerous swim conditions are expected at Lake Michigan beaches  on the Illinois shore this morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday…

Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.

Sunday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Scattered thunderstorms are likely Tuesday, especially during the afternoon and evening when some of the thunderstorms could become severe. The primary severe risk with these storms will be locally damaging winds in excess of 58 mph. While locally damaging winds will be the primary severe risk, there is a very small chance of large hail or perhaps even a tornado two.
