This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected…

Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:     Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.  Elevated Flooding Risk.  Limited Excessive heat Risk.  High Swim Risk

DISCUSSION…

A cold front advancing across the region this afternoon and evening will produce scattered thunderstorms. The main threat will be cloud-to-ground lightning, but an isolated strong to severe thunderstorm with damaging winds is also possible. In addition, it is possible that some locations may experience multiple rounds of thunderstorms that could produce localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday and Friday…

Elevated Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  High Swim Risk

Saturday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  High Swim Risk

DISCUSSION:

There will be additional chances for thunderstorms, mainly south of I-80 from Thursday though the weekend.
