This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk. High Swim Risk
DISCUSSION…
Scattered thunderstorms are possible through mid to possibly late this afternoon, with the highest chance of occurrence primarily along and west of Interstate 39. While severe weather is fairly unlikely, a few strong thunderstorms capable of producing gusty winds and hail are possible, again primarily along and west of Interstate 39 and also south of Interstate 88. A very isolated severe thunderstorm can't be completely ruled out.
Dangerous swimming conditions are likely at Lake Michigan beaches through mid afternoon.

Wednesday…
Limited Flooding Risk. Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Thursday…
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk. Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Friday through Sunday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
There will be periodic chances of thunderstorms Wednesday into early Thursday, and again Thursday night into Friday. A few storms could be strong to severe Thursday night, with damaging winds expected to be the primary severe weather threat. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible with storms Wednesday and Wednesday night, especially over far northern Illinois.
