This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:     Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.  Elevated Flooding Risk.  Limited Excessive heat Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage late this afternoon into this evening with the best coverage this evening along and north of a Mendota to Waukegan line. Some storms may be strong to severe. Hail may be a threat initially, but damaging winds will be possible especially later in the evening. Torrential downpours and training storms may create flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.

Monday…

Elevated Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

Tuesday and Wednesday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Unsettled weather continues through mid week. Thunderstorms may lead to flooding across portions of north central Illinois Monday.

Spotters may be needed this evening and tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward northeast at 30 to 40 mph.
