Des Plaines River near Des Plaines affecting Cook County Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater affecting Kane and McHenry Counties
.Three to five inches plus of rainfall since Saturday morning upstream of the Des Plaines and Algonquin gauges is causing sharp stage rises. The current forecast is for minor flooding to occur, but the exact basin average rainfall amounts the rest of today and tonight will likely result in some changes to crest height.

Flood Warning for The Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater.
from this afternoon to Thursday morning.
At 730 AM Monday the stage was 8.5 feet.
Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
Minor flooding is forecast.
Forecast…Rise above flood stage by this afternoon and continue to rise to near 10.0 feet by early Tuesday. The river will fall below flood stage by early Thursday morning.
