...Areas of Slick Travel This Morning due to Accumulating Wet
Snow...
A band of heavy wet snow will shift eastward across northern IL
through the morning hours. While road temperatures remain above
freezing, the snow will fall at a heavy enough rate to result in
some slushy accumulations, especially on bridges and overpasses.
This in combination with sharply reduced visibilities, down to a
quarter of mile at times, will result in a period of hazardous
travel conditions across the area this morning. Conditions will
improve as the snow tappers off from west to east this afternoon.
