This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are likely over parts of northern IL this
afternoon and evening. The strongest will be capable of producing
isolated instances of strong damaging wind gusts. In addition,
there is a threat for a brief tornado or two. Finally, heavy
rainfall is also like to accompany these thunderstorms, and this
could result in localized areas of minor flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Limited Afternoon and Evening Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Afternoon and Evening Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Conditions may become favorable for thunderstorms with a cold front
late Monday afternoon and evening. Strong damaging wind gusts and
very heavy rainfall may accompany these storms, especially in areas
along and south of Interstate 88.
