DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms will shift east northeastward across the
area this evening and overnight. A few storms may briefly approach
severe limits this evening, mainly north and west of an Amboy to
Rockford line, with a threat for gusty winds and nickel to quarter
size hail.
Additional non-severe showers and thunderstorms are expected to
move into the region late this evening and overnight.

DISCUSSION:
Thunderstorms are likely on Saturday and are possible on Sunday.
The greatest coverage of thunderstorms is expected Saturday
afternoon and evening. Isolated damaging wind gusts are possible
with the strongest storms Saturday afternoon and early Saturday
evening, primarily across central Illinois into northwest Indiana.
Storms will also produce brief torrential downpours, which could
result in ponding or minor flooding in typical low spots.
