Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk toward central Illinois.
Limited Flooding Risk toward central Illinois.

DISCUSSION...

There is a chance of thunderstorms today, mainly southwest of
a Peru to Watseka line. Severe weather is not expected, but the
the strong storms may produce small hail and heavy rain, which
may lead to localized flooding.

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk South of Interstate 80.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Thunderstorms are expected to develop Wednesday afternoon and
continue into the evening and overnight hours. Some storms could
become severe, especially east of I-55, with a threat for damaging
downburst wind gusts. In addition, storms will produce torrential
rainfall which may cause flooding of low-lying areas.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
