Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk
Limited Excessive Rainfall Risk west of I-39

DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms will continue mainly west of I-39
through the rest of the evening. The severe weather threat will
continue to diminish. Heavy rainfall may lead to localized
instances of flash flooding, however, especially across parts of
western Ogle county.

Additional non-severe showers and thunderstorms are expected to
move into the region late this evening and overnight with a threat
for gusty winds. Additional locally heavy rainfall may result in
ponding of water on roadways, low-lying areas, and parking lots.

DISCUSSION:

Thunderstorms are likely on Saturday and are possible on Sunday.
The greatest coverage of thunderstorms is expected Saturday
afternoon and evening. Isolated damaging wind gusts are possible
with the strongest storms Saturday afternoon and early Saturday
evening, primarily across central Illinois into northwest Indiana.
Storms will also produce brief torrential downpours, which could
result in ponding or minor flooding in typical low spots.
