...A Burst of Heavier Snow Will Cause Some Travel Impacts...

A narrow area of heavier snow from Grundy County northward to
southern McHenry and much of Lake County Illinois as of 6:45 PM
will move eastward across northeast Illinois and northwest
Indiana through 8:30 PM. The heaviest snow will last less than an
hour but will likely accumulate on roads, causing slippery travel
conditions and low visibility under 1 mile. Those planning to
drive are advised to leave extra time to reach their destinations.
Reduce speed and increase following distance when driving on snow
covered roads.
