...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southwestern Lake,
northeastern De Kalb, northern Kane, McHenry, northwestern Cook and
southern Boone Counties through 630 AM CST...

At 536 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking scattered strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Davis Junction to
near Maple Park. These thunderstorms have a history of producing
small hail.

Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Elgin, Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Palatine, Hoffman Estates,
Buffalo Grove, Bartlett, Crystal Lake, Streamwood, Carpentersville,
Wheeling, Northbrook, St. Charles, Mundelein, Algonquin, Lake in the
Hills, McHenry, Belvidere, Vernon Hills and Woodstock.

Including the following interstates...
I-90 between mile markers 19 and 65.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
