DISCUSSION:
A multi-faceted weather system will impact the region later
Wednesday through Thursday. Heavy rainfall amounts could lead to
ice jam and poor drainage flooding Wednesday night, especially for
portions of east central Illinois and south of the Kankakee River
in Indiana. Some ice accumulations and slick roads are probable
after precipitation changes to freezing rain later Wednesday
night. On Thursday, at least several inches of snow accumulation
are likely for portions of the area along with strong northerly
winds, causing hazardous travel. Icy mixed precipitation could
continue for southern sections deeper into Thursday. Finally, the
strong northerly winds will result in a lakeshore flooding threat.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
