This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Excessive Cold Risk tonight.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Snow Risk, mainly parts of northwest Indiana tonight.

DISCUSSION...

A strong Arctic cold front will sweep across the area this
afternoon into the early evening, with northwest winds possibly
briefly gusting over 35 mph. In the wake of the front, snow
showers may cause reduced visibility and localized coatings of
snow. Then in the late evening and into early Saturday, lake
effect snow showers may affect portions of far northwest Indiana,
especially Porter County, where an inch or two of snow could cause
travel impacts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday through Monday Morning...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk at times.
Wednesday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Snow and or Sleet Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A large weather system will likely affect the Midwest later
Wednesday and Thursday. Widespread rain and gusty winds Wednesday
night may change to accumulating snow and/or wintry precipitation
for parts of the area on Thursday with continued gusty winds.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
