DISCUSSION:

A significant, multifaceted storm system will impact the outlook
area midweek. Heavy rainfall will be seen Wednesday night,
especially south of a Chicago to LaSalle Peru line, where some
flooding is possible. Rain will change to a period of freezing
rain and sleet from north to south across the outlook area
Wednesday night into Thursday. Some ice accumulation is expected
before precipitation changes to snow late Wednesday night in far
northern Illinois and across the remainder of the outlook area
Thursday. Some snow accumulation is likely over most of the outlook
area on Thursday, but there is low confidence on how persistent
heavy rates are and how much will occur.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
