This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Snow Risk.
Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk south of I-80.

DISCUSSION...

Snow of varying intensity will persist through tonight, with
another burst of heavier snowfall appearing likely through the
middle and late evening. A couple to a few inches of snow are
expected across the area by tomorrow morning with locally higher
amounts across lakeside counties in northeast Illinois due to
lake enhancement. Additionally, freezing drizzle is expected along
and south of the Kankakee River tonight and is possible farther
north as well into the early evening. The combination of accumulating
snow and an icy glaze from freezing drizzle will cause hazardous
travel conditions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Limited Snow Risk near the lake, mainly in the morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
