This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Snow Risk Tonight.

DISCUSSION...

Snow is expected to spread across the area mid to late evening.
Moderate to briefly heavy snow is expected along and south of
I-88 corridor overnight, with snowfall rates in excess of one
inch per hour. The high snowfall rates combined with temperatures
near freezing will result in slushy accumulations on area
roadways.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Limited Snow Risk through mid-morning.

DISCUSSION:

Moderate snow at daybreak across northeast and east-central
Illinois and northwest Indiana will diminish by mid-morning, with
impacts also diminishing as temperatures rise above freezing.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
