This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Temperatures will warm into the 60s today. This will be coupled
with relative humidity values of 25 to 30 percent, winds of 10 to
20 mph, and gusts to 25 mph this afternoon. These conditions come
fairly close to red flag levels based on the current forecast,
and therefore create an elevated fire weather risk.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk south of Interstate 80.
Limited Flooding Risk mainly portions of northwest Indiana.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk overnight.
Monday...
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk in Northwest Indiana.
DISCUSSION:
A fairly strong system will move through the Ohio Valley and into
the eastern Great Lakes late Sunday into Monday. Thunderstorms will
be possible ahead of the low late Sunday afternoon or evening. Some
very light snow is possible late Sunday night toward the Rockford area.
It will also be windy on Monday with gusts in excess of 40 mph
appearing increasingly likely, gusts 45 to 50 mph possible.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
