This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk this evening.

DISCUSSION...

There is a chance for a few thunderstorms this evening. Severe
weather is not expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk late afternoon and evening.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A slow moving but strong storm system is expected to impact the
region Tuesday through Thursday. Initially the primary impact from
this system will be the threat for some severe thunderstorms late
Tuesday afternoon and evening. As the storm system shifts to our
east by Wednesday, strong gusty northerly winds will be possible
late Wednesday and on Thursday. These strong winds will increase
the threat of lakeshore flooding due to the development of large
waves on southern Lake Michigan.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east southeast at 25 to 40 mph.
