This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Breezy southwest winds will gust to 30 to 40 mph through this
afternoon and possibly into early evening. These gusty winds,
combined with low relative humidity will result in elevated
fire weather conditions.

A cold front will approach the region this evening bringing a
threat for gusty showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two.
While severe weather is not expected, locally gustier winds to
near 50 mph will be possible under any stronger showers or
storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday...
Limited Lakeshore Flood Risk Porter County shoreline.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Gusty northwest winds will continue on Tuesday. This could result
in a brief period of higher wave action into the Porter County
shoreline by Tuesday morning resulting in a threat for minor
lakeshore flooding and beach erosion.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east southeast at 40 mph.
