This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE…This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected…
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Elevated damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph. Elevated Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION…
Numerous thunderstorms will occur through mid afternoon along and south of a line from Pontiac to Valparaiso. A few of these may be severe with gusty winds the main threat. Further north toward and just north of Interstate 80, a few thunderstorms may be seen this afternoon. Locally heavy rain is likely with any storms this afternoon.
There is a chance for scattered thunderstorms tonight, mainly late this evening and overnight. Severe weather appears unlikely during this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.
Sunday and Monday…
Limited Flooding Risk. Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Tuesday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday…
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Additional periods of heavy rain producing thunderstorms are likely through the middle of next week.
Flooding potential along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica and Fox Rivers will continue.

Spotters may be needed in the far southeast CWA through mid-afternoon.
